Raspberry - Apricot - Meyer Lemon - Rose

This lot of coffee comes from the Kochere Yirgacheffe region of Ethiopia, owned by Legu Trading and comprised of many small harvests from nearby farms. Most of the farms providing to Legu Trading have no more than a hectare (about two and a half acres) of land dedicated to coffee, the rest of their land housing other forms of produce such as sweet potato, mango and avocado. Legu ensures the farmers are receiving premium prices for their coffee, usually well above market averages, and also makes sure all workers are paid fair wage for 8 hours a day. As is typical of high grade coffee from Ethiopia this lot has undergone stringent sorting and quality control prior to exportation.

This heirloom (referred to as 'Gedeo' by many farmers) coffee is very floral and sweet - lots of jammy apricot and raspberry flavors right at first taste. The florals are almost like rose petals or rose water with a bit of lemon zest, and the finish is a lingering sweet meyer lemon taste. Some black tea flavors structure the cup and overall this is a very classically floral cup of coffee.
